EPM Live 3.1 Release Notes

Overview

This article describes the updates to EPM Live included in version 3.1.

Fixes and New Functionality included in version 3.1

New Timesheet Reports	EPM Live now has more Timesheet Reports available.	New Feature
EPM Live SSRS Reporting now supports SharePoint Integrated Mode	EPM Live SSRS Reporting now supports SharePoint Integrated Mode. There will be more information released prior to 12/14/2009 which is the release date for onsite customers.	New Feature
View Permissions Sync	The List View Permissions settings now synchronize from the top level site to lower level sites during the Admin Synchronization.	New Feature
Right Click on Project Title Options	Now, when you right click on the Project Title, a menu will show the following options: Go to Workspace, Edit in Work Planner, Edit in Project.	New Feature
Grouping Settings in Lists	In a list, when grouping items by a specific field, if an item has no value for that field, the section will now say no "field name" instead of no value.	New Feature
Accentuated Characters	EPM Live now supports the use of special characters that are not on the standard English keyboard.	New Feature
Resource Tools URL	In the General Settings, there is now a location to enter a URL for the Resources Tools, which points to an SSRS report for use with the Resources.	New Feature
Task Management	If a project is being edited with Work Planner, any new task created directly into the Task Center List will be listed below the work planner schedule.	New Feature
EPM Live Timesheets	The % Work Spent column will now turn red when it exceeds 100%.	New Feature
Indicator Flags	Indicator flags are now functioning correctly in pop-up windows.	Fix
Admin Synchronization	When deleting a template from the site templates section of the Admin Sync page, the remaining templates stay on the page.	Fix
Admin Synchronization	The Admin Synchronization process has other minor fixes.	Fix
Resource Planner Hours	The issue some customers were experiencing regarding incorrect hours in the histogram is now resolved.	Fix
SSRS Reporting	The SSRS Milestone Reporting is fixed so that it now does not return duplicate assignments or tasks.	Fix

EPM Live and Project Server

Title	Description	Type
Project Server Resource Pool Sync with EPM Live Resource Pool	We are very pleased to announce that the Resource Pool in Project Server synchronizes with the Resource Pool in EPM Live. Any updates, additions, or deletions in Project Server will now synchronize into EPM Live.	New Feature
Project Publisher and Project Server - Project Information dialogue box	When publishing a project schedule with Project Publisher, the un-editable fields are no longer included in the Project Information box.	New Feature
Project Publisher and Project Server	When updating a project schedule with Project Publisher, the changes to the schedule are highlighted in the detailed view.	New Feature
Cross Synchronization	Cross synchronization is now available between site collections in the Project Center and Task Center Enterprise Fields.	New Feature
Available Fields	All additional Project Server fields are now listed in the database for more support of additional project fields.	New Feature
Calculated Fields	Fixes to calculated fields in Project Server.	New Feature
Navigation	When creating a new project workspace, the top navigation bar is now inherited from the parent site.	Fix
Groups & Permissions	When creating a new site, the groups are correctly inherited	Fix
